Calamity Ganon

Updated 2026-10-15· Patch 1.6.0Boss, Castle

Calamity Ganon waits in the sanctum of Hyrule Castle. If you freed all four Divine Beasts, he starts at half health and skips the four blight copies. If you freed none, you fight those copies first.

The sanctum

He swings a huge axe, fires a Guardian beam and crawls. The beam is the same parry you practiced on Stalkers: reflect it into his eye. Ancient arrows still hurt him here, unlike the field phase. Urbosa's Fury and a Savage Lynel bow end the phase before the arena fills with fire.

The blight copies, if they appear, are the same fights as inside the Divine Beasts. Waterblight's ice blocks, Fireblight's sucking charge, Windblight's tornado and Thunderblight's lightning dash. You already know the tells if you cleared the beasts. If you did not, this is a bad place to learn all four.

Dark Beast Ganon

After the sanctum he becomes Dark Beast Ganon on Hyrule Field. Zelda gives you the Bow of Light, which does not break. Ancient arrows do nothing to this form. Ride the white horse she provides, or your own, and shoot the glowing cores along the body.

The last core opens on the belly after you circle him. Shoot it and the fight ends. There is no weapon drop worth farming. This is the credits, not a monster you return to.
