Guardian Stalker

Updated 2026-10-15· Patch 1.6.0Guardian, Ancient

A Guardian Stalker locks its eye, beeps, then fires a beam that deletes most early shields. You either perfect-guard that beam back into the eye, or you shoot an ancient arrow into the eye and skip the fight.

The parry timing

Raise the shield when the targeting tone starts, but press the parry as the flash leaves the eye, not when the beep begins. Too early and the beam breaks the shield. A successful reflect stuns it. Three clean reflects with a pot lid are enough to kill a Stalker if you do not miss.

Cut the legs first if you cannot parry yet. Each leg is a separate target and a lost leg slows the walk. Shoot them from horseback or from a hill it has to path around. Once it is crawling, the eye is an easy target.

Parts, decayed ones and ancient arrows

A dead Stalker drops screws, springs, gears and sometimes a giant ancient core. Those are what Robbie and Purah turn into ancient weapons. An ancient arrow to the eye still drops the parts. It does not erase the body the way it erases a Lynel.

Decayed Guardians on the Plateau and around the Castle do not walk. They only turn and shoot. The parry is the same, and they are the safe place to practice because there is no chase if you miss and run.
