Hinox
A Hinox sleeps until you get close or shoot it. The eye in the center of the body is the stagger point. While it covers its face, climb on and pull the weapons hanging from the necklace.
Eye, necklace, legs
Open from a tree or a ridge with a shot to the eye. It sits up and covers the eye with a hand. That is not a damage window for arrows. Run in, climb the body and take one weapon. You will be thrown off. Shoot the eye again and repeat until the necklace is empty.
The leg stomp is a vertical slam. If you stay between the feet you get pinned. Circle to the heel and cut the ankle, or keep using the eye so you never have to trade hits. Blue and black Hinoxes add armor on the legs. Bomb the armor off, or it soaks the ankle cuts.
Stalnox and what it is for
At night some Hinoxes are skeletal Stalnoxes. After enough damage the eye pops out and bounces away. Ignore the body and chase the eye. If you let it roll back, the skeleton stands up again.
The weapons on a Hinox are often the point of the fight: a royal claymore on a black one is a real upgrade early on. Guts are attack-elixir parts. Tooth and toenail fill out the rest of the meal. Mark the sleeping spot with the scope, because a Hinox you leave alive is still there on the next blood moon.
