Nahida: Mark First, Then Let Reactions Proc Tri-Karma
Tap Nahida's skill on the enemy you are about to react, or hold it to mark a pack. After that she can leave the field. Tri-Karma fires when someone else triggers a reaction on the mark.
Skill mark and Tri-Karma
All Schemes to Know links enemies with a Dendro mark. Tap marks one target and the ones connected to it. Hold marks everything in a radius, which is the button for a grouped camp. While a mark is up, a reaction on that enemy triggers Tri-Karma Purification: a Dendro hit that scales with her Elemental Mastery and her attack talent. The mark is not a turret that shoots on a timer by itself. If nobody is reacting, nothing procs.
Illusory Heart, the burst, raises Elemental Mastery for the active character based on the highest Elemental Mastery in the party. Pyro characters in the party increase Tri-Karma's damage. Electro characters shorten the gap between procs. Hydro characters extend the field. Count heads before you copy a build: a second Pyro is not the same bonus as a Hydro.
Where she stands in a fight
In a hyperbloom team, mark first, then Xingqiu's burst, then Kuki's ring. Nahida can stay on the field and normal-attack to keep Dendro up, or she can swap out if the mark is still on the camp. Refresh the mark when new enemies walk in unmarked. A fresh wave with no mark is a Nahida who is not doing her job, even if her burst is still on the ground.
Do not stack her with a second Dendro who never reacts. The mark wants Hydro, Electro, or Pyro to hit it. A team of four Dendro characters makes the burst's element counters do nothing.
Mastery, Deepwood, and talents
Four-piece Deepwood Memories if nobody else is holding it. The set shreds Dendro resistance for the whole team, including the hyperbloom driver and any Dendro damage that is not hers. Sands, goblet, and circlet can all be Elemental Mastery when she is the trigger for spread or the buffer. Give her a Dendro goblet and a crit circlet only when she is the one on the field doing the hits.
Level the skill first. Tri-Karma lives there. The burst is second, because the mastery share is why the rest of the team is in the circle. Her normal attack is third unless she is the on-field spread attacker, in which case it moves up behind the skill.
