New Legendary Ronin Analysis: The Melee Duelist King
Ronin is the first new card of 2026, breaking the pattern of evolutions. Costing 5 elixir, this Legendary fighter is designed to counter all ground melee troops in the game, winning one-to-one against Pekkas and Mega Knights.
Parry Damage Ability
Ronin spawns in a charged state, triggering a parry as soon as he takes melee damage. This protects him from the hit and retaliates with high Parry Damage. The ability requires a 3.5-second cooldown to recharge.
This parry mechanic works wonders not only in pure duels but also when clearing small crowds. While he can't block damage continuously, the burst damage from the retaliation can chunk nearby swarms, especially when paired with a Tornado pull.
Matchups and Interactions
While Ronin parries the Evolved Mega Knight's punch, he cannot parry its deployment splash. When trapped by Evolved Goblin Cage, his parry is disabled. He is highly effective when paired with ranged support units.
