Remote Bomb
Remote Bombs replace the old bomb flowers for puzzles. The round one rolls. The cube sits still in a corner. Detonate them from the slate. Link takes no damage from his own remote bombs.
Round or cube
Roll the sphere down a slope into a camp or a Talus node. The cube is for a narrow hole, a seesaw, or a slot where a round bomb would roll past the switch. Only one of each shape can exist. Placing another replaces the old one.
They recharge on a short timer, so they are the free way to break ore deposits, cracked shrine walls and piles of boxes. A weapon spent on a wooden crate is a weapon you cannot use on the Lynel later.
Fights, and the upgrade
A bomb under a sleeping Hinox, or against a Stal-monster, does the job without a weapon swing. The blast is small. It will not kill a Lynel. It will annoy a Guardian and get you shot. Use it to strip Talus armor and Hinox leg plates, not as your main damage.
The Hateno lab upgrade makes both shapes larger. The way you place them does not change. Do the blue flame quest before you rely on bombs for every ore route. A cube jammed in a corner will not roll away when a Talus stands up, which is why that shape is the safer opener.
