While Human Torch boasts impressive abilities, players have expressed disappointment with one of his main cosmetics.
Lord Icon Controversy
The Lord icon, obtainable through hero proficiency tasks, is meant to be a prestigious reward for dedicated players. However, Human Torch's Lord icon has left many underwhelmed. "_Is this seriously [the] Human Torch Lord icon?"_ one player lamented. "_I'm praying his kill banner is gonna be heat (no pun intended), but all they did was slightly turn his head 50 degrees_." Nonetheless, players appreciate the developer's efforts elsewhere.

Human Torch's icon is considered underwhelming compared to others, ranking alongside Spider-Man and Star-Lord as icons that simply flip the character's orientation. While not as disappointing as Bucky or Venom's Lord icons, it matches the quality of other Fantastic Four icons. Sue Storm has a decent icon, but Mister Fantastic's is similar to Human Torch's, offering a different profile view.
