Pebblit

Pebblits are the small cousins of a Stone Talus. They sit in rocky ground pretending to be stones, then hop at you when you walk close. They have almost no health. The reason to stop is the gem, not the fight.

Three rocks, three regions

The plain one lives on cliffs and boulder fields across Hyrule. The Igneo Pebblit stays in Eldin, where the ground is already hot. The Frost Pebblit stays in Hebra and on the cold Gerudo highlands. If you are dressed for that region, you can walk up and break them. If you are not, the temperature will hurt you before the rock does.

A remote bomb, a hammer, or a two-handed swing is enough. Do not spend a royal weapon on a pebble. They do not block, and they do not call friends. Clear the ones sitting on the path before you start a Talus, or the little hops will interrupt the climb.

What the color is worth

All three drop flint, and flint plus wood is how you start a campfire in the rain's edge or on a mountain. Amber and opal show up often enough to pay for arrows. Igneo Pebblits add rubies. Frost Pebblits add sapphires. Those gems are the real reason to detour through a rock field when a Great Fairy or a shop is asking for them.

They return with the blood moon, on the same slopes. If a chest is sitting in a nest of pebbles, bomb the nest first and loot second. Selling a ruby funds more than the arrows you spent to get it.
