Yiga Blademaster
Blademasters are the big Yiga. They carry a windcleaver, which throws a vacuum blade, and they teleport the same way footsoldiers do. You meet them in the hideout and, after that, as rare ambushes. They have far more health than the sickle users. The opening you want is the ground pound.
Let him leave the ground
Back away until he jumps and drives the blade into the ground. The slam has a recovery. That is the window for a flurry of hits, or for Stasis+ if you want the window even wider. A perfect guard on the windcleaver swing also opens him. Chasing him during the teleport just means you swing at air.
The vacuum projectile is a ranged cut. Sidestep it. Do not hide in a corner of the hideout room, because the slam still covers the spot you backed into. In the field, any open road is enough space. Eat before the fight if this is the hideout version. That one is the gate to the rest of the base.
Gems, bananas, and the cleaver
Blademasters drop mighty bananas and a gem: amber, opal, topaz, ruby or sapphire. Sometimes the windcleaver itself is on the body. The cleaver is a heavy two-handed sword with a projectile, and it eats durability fast if you spam the beam. Keep it for a camp or a Hinox, not for the next footsoldier.
After the hideout, a Blademaster ambush is a loot stop more than a crisis, as long as you still have the slam timing. If several footsoldiers blink in with him, banana the small ones and keep the camera on the cleaver. Killing the large one first stops the vacuum blades from stacking on top of the sickle dashes.
