Hinox
Hinox are the one-eyed giants asleep in fields and forest clearings. The eye is the weak point. A shot to the eye knocks the body down so you can climb on and swing at the eye itself. Weapons hang around the neck and can be pulled off with Ultrahand before you start. At night a Stalnox throws its own eye across the ground.

The eye, awake or asleep
If it is asleep, walk up and shoot the eye at close range, or pull the necklace weapons off first so the fight starts with you already armed. Once it stands, stay out of the grab and the sit. Both cover a wide circle. Another eye shot knocks it down again. A bomb flower in the face does the same job if you are out of good arrows.
Blue and black Hinox have more health and better teeth. The moves do not change. Climb on while it is down and spend a two-handed weapon on the eye, then jump off before it stands, or the shake throws you into the next slam. A spear from the ground is slower but you never get shaken off.
Stalnox and the drops
At night the body is bone, and a strong hit pops the eye out. The eye bounces away and the body flails until you pin the eye with your foot or a hit and then damage it. Lose the eye in the grass and the skeleton keeps swinging. Finish the eye and the fight ends. Sunrise removes Stalnox the way it removes other skeletons, so do not start one at the edge of dawn.
Teeth and nails are fuse materials. Guts are elixir parts. The weapons on the necklace are often the real loot, including elemental ones on some bodies. They sleep in the same clearings after a Blood Moon. If you only need a hammer weapon, check the necklace with Ultrahand before you spend your arrows.
