Soldier Construct
Soldier Constructs patrol sky islands, shrines and some surface ruins. They hold zonaite weapons and they block more often than a Bokoblin. Captain Constructs are the larger version in the same camps. Horns fuse like monster horns. The crystallized charges and zonaite charges they drop are how you pay for a bigger battery.

Break the guard
They raise a shield and a weapon, and a careless combo bounces. Shoot the head, or hit with a heavy two-handed swing that they cannot hold. A bomb flower arrow into a patrol of three is enough to start the fight with them already staggered. Captains have more health and a wider slam. Kill the soldiers first so the captain is not fighting you with two beams at his back.
Some of them carry a beam emitter or a spear made of zonaite. Take the weapon if it is better than yours, but remember it still uses durability. Elemental shots from a captain's weapon set the grass on fire the same way a Lizalfos spit does. Step off the dry grass before you stand still to aim.
Horns and battery money
The horn adds attack when fused, and a captain horn is the one to keep. Charges are the other drop. Take them to a crystal refinery in the Depths, under an abandoned mine, and spend them on the energy cell. A sky island full of soldiers is a better battery run than wandering the Depths with an empty hammer, once you can reach the island.
They are not Flux Constructs. There is no glowing core to dig out, and Ultrahand will not pull their head off. Fight them as armed soldiers. Blood Moons refill the patrols. Shrines that use them as the test respawn the fight each visit, which is a safe place to practice the headshot before you spend eyes on a Lynel.
