Path of Exile 2 Player's Unintentional Cruelty Sparks Outpouring of Support

On the Path of Exile 2 subreddit, screenshots of in-game chat are commonplace, showcasing humorous banter or frustration with rampant spam advertising. Recently, a screenshot by redditor N8-97 shared a different type of message: an apology for crushing the hopes of a player named Imagineddy, who simply wanted to trade for a quiver.

Imagineddy's innocent query was met with N8-97's automated replies intended for a spambot. Unbeknownst to him, Imagineddy's genuine request was dismissed with "GO AWAY" and "SHUT UP."

Upon realizing his mistake, N8-97 immediately tried to apologize, but his message never reached Imagineddy, who had already logged off.

The PoE 2 community rallied around Imagineddy, condemning N8-97 for his outburst and declaring him a martyr. Others questioned why N8-97 was engaging with a robot in such a hostile manner.

Despite the initial confusion, N8-97's genuine apology and Imagineddy's gracious forgiveness led to a heartwarming resolution. The community rallied around Imagineddy, offering him gifts and support. N8-97 and Imagineddy ultimately planned to meet in-game to complete the intended quiver trade, proving that even in the competitive world of PoE 2, kindness and forgiveness can prevail.
