GeForce Now Enhances Mod Support for Baldur's Gate 3

Nvidia's cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, has added support for expanded mod integration in Baldur's Gate 3.

Premium Subscription Required

Users need a premium GeForce Now subscription to access mod support. The three subscription tiers offer varying performance, queue times, and session lengths:

- Basic: Free, non-RTX, ad-supported, long queue times, 1-hour sessions
- Priority: $10/month, 1440p RTX, shorter queue times, 6-hour sessions
- Ultimate: $20/month, shortest queue times, 4K 240 fps RTX, 8-hour sessions

Seamless Mod Integration

Mod support is seamlessly integrated into the game through Mod.io. Users can log in and subscribe to mods, which will remain active across gaming sessions.

Expanding Mod Library

The initial mod library supports 306 Xbox-approved mods from Mod.io. While there are some overlaps with Baldur's Gate 3's 311 built-in mods, there are also unique options available.

Future Mod Integration

Nvidia has hinted at further mod support expansion in the future. This could potentially open up a wider range of PC mods for GeForce Now games.

Increased Modding Incentive

Expanded mod support lowers the barrier to entry for mod creators, potentially encouraging user-generated content and enriching the game's experience.

Improved Modding Accessibility

With support for GeForce Now, mods are more accessible to players who may not have high-end gaming PCs. This enhances the overall modding ecosystem and expands the game's potential.
