Insomniac Games Founder Ted Price Retires

After over three decades at the helm, Insomniac Games founder and CEO Ted Price has announced his retirement, effective March 2024.

Legacy of Innovation

Price founded Insomniac in 1994, and under his leadership, the studio released groundbreaking titles such as "Spyro the Dragon," "Ratchet and Clank," and "Marvel's Spider-Man."

Commitment to Social Responsibility

In 2022, Price earned widespread praise for advocating for abortion rights and donating $50,000 to reproductive health organizations.

Transition of Leadership

Price will be succeeded by a trio of "co-studio heads": Chad Dezern (Head of Creative), Ryan Schneider (Head of Franchise Strategy and Studio Relations), and Jen Huang (Head of Finance).

Future Plans

Price remains optimistic about Insomniac's future and plans to join the ranks of the studio's passionate fans. He expressed a desire to experience their games without the burden of constant bug-hunting.
