Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Remake Release Date Leaked on PlayStation Network

In a surprising turn of events, Sony has accidentally uploaded a release date trailer for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake on the PlayStation Network. The trailer, which has since been removed, reveals the game's release date as August 28, 2025.

This remastered version, powered by Unreal Engine 5, has been highly anticipated by fans. The trailer showcases iconic scenes from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, including confrontations between The Boss and Snake, Ocelot's chase through a tunnel, the destruction of the Shagohod, and the encounter with Volgin.

Interestingly, the trailer also includes a post-credits teaser featuring a mischievous monkey, hinting at the return of the Snake vs. Monkey minigame from the original PS2 release. This is a welcome addition for fans who missed out on this quirky mode in subsequent releases.

While the release date is somewhat later than the originally expected 2024 window, it provides ample time for further development and refinement. The 2025 release also aligns with the 20th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid 3's original launch.

Despite the existence of the HD edition in the Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection, this remake promises to be a faithful and modernized recreation of the classic game. Fans can expect the same engaging story, iconic characters, and stealth-action gameplay, with updated graphics and gameplay enhancements for a seamless experience on modern consoles.
