Minecraft's 2025 Update Adds New Cow Variants, Fireflies, and More
Cow Variants
Minecraft will soon gain two new cow variants: the warm cow and the cold cow. The warm cow is found in hot biomes like Badlands, Desert, and Savannah, while the cold cow prefers snowy biomes, mountains, and chilly dark wood biomes.
These variants join the existing Mooshroom cow and the nearly-made-it Moobloom cow.
Fireflies
The long-awaited fireflies are finally arriving in Minecraft. These glowing critters spawn from firefly bushes, which can be found in swamps and bodies of water. Bury the firefly bush under blocks to create a magical sparkling effect.
